Flow

This class is taught by:

Camille McLeod

Camille began her practice in college in a simple quest to find something after dance. Since then she has fallen for the practice and studies whenever possible. She teaches a playful practice that encourages the accessibility of postures through props, practice, and laughter.

She completed her 200 RYT with Gioconda Parker.

Grace Kubecka

Grace teaches a lively, sweaty, and FUN class emphasizing living your life fully and not taking yourself too seriously. Her classes will challenge you and yet release stuff inside... you'll see that yoga goes beyond the poses - there's more - the stuff underneath - that's where the real yoga is.

Grace's yoga journey began in 2000 by attending a yoga class on a whim thinking it would be a boring hour of breathing and stretching. Instead she found herself challenged - body, mind and soul. Instantly addicted, she has been practicing ever since. In 2006, Grace started teaching and spreading the yoga joy! Grace spent her childhood in Houston and has been living in Sugar Land since 2004. She is a wife to a super-tolerant husband and a mother to two energetic boys. Her original career path was climbing the corporate ladder in the field of human resources for over 15 years, and after having two of the cutest boys you'll ever meet, Grace decided to take her passion to the next level and opened Awakened Yoga Studio in Sugar Land in early 2010. It's been a passionate whirlwind ever since!

Grace has completed trainings with a variety of teachers including Baron Baptiste and Ana Forest. Her primary style of teaching is power vinyasa flow but she's been known to teach anything from restorative to Ashtanga! She has also been leading teacher trainings since 2011.

Aline Houston

Aline is a spirited teacher who was initially drawn to yoga to find her breath and found it to be completely transforming! She feels deeply that changing the way we breath can be life changing and life altering. Aline has specialized yoga certifications in Vinyasa yoga, Yin Yoga, Stand Up Paddle board Yoga, Advanced Ana Forrest training, and Functional Yoga Anatomy. Having discovered an intense passion for healing touch, she is also certified in Thai yoga Bodywork and is an Advanced Reiki III practitioner. She loves teaching Vinyasa flow and incorporates multiple lineages of yoga in designing a creative and inspiring class. You can expect sankalpa (intention) with a little bit of playfulness mixed in. She has studied with and has been inspired by many teachers and considers us all teachers. Aline is proud to serve the Houston community monthly as an Ambassador to the Breakfast Yoga Club.

Her passion is to help others find their own passions in life by spreading love and inspiration. It is her deepest desire that you are challenged and leave class or a session changed, and that change brings you more joy. Whether you are looking for a physically challenging yoga class or a real opportunity to go within yourself and heal your soul through other modalities, Aline provides the environment to accomplish whatever it is you seek. She continues to study and learn by attending various trainings to develop her skills in healing modalities.

Amber Callahan

Amber Callahan is a mom to two boys, yogi, practices Jiu Jitsu, weight lifter, certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, Arbonne consultant, and plant based diet enthusiast. She began practicing yoga just over a year ago after battling chronic physical conditions from years of heavy weight training and running and training for marathons. What she found when she started practicing consistently was that her body healed physically from injuries and stayed strong. In addition to the physical benefits, Amber has also found that yoga has helped her on an emotional and spiritual level as she has learned to carry yoga principles off the mat, as well. She received her 200 hour yoga certification through Awakened Yoga and also holds a certification as a personal trainer and nutrition coach.

Jeffrey Wedelich

Jeffrey believes that yoga has the power to reduce stress and promote physical healing. He teaches a class that focuses on breath and well-being, while still providing opportunities for improvements in strength and flexibility. He offers a simple approach to make progress accessible to the intermediate student. Jeffrey hopes to make it as easy as possible for people to discover the benefits of yoga. Jeffrey took his first yoga class in 2006, not realizing that vinyasa would soon become an integral part of his life. He received his 200-hour RYT certification from Awakened Yoga in 2014. He has experience working as a personal trainer, is a proficient kick-boxer, and is learning gymnastics. Jeffrey received a BS in Engineering Science from Trinity University in 2007. His passions for athleticism and longevity have made him an ongoing student of nutrition.

Trish Jacquet

Trish is a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance after having completed the 200 hour training in Spring of 2015 here at Awakened Yoga. After completing multiple marathons, long distance bike rides and brutal sessions in the gym, she decided to give yoga a go for some “gentle stretching”. It was an instant love affair, resulting in the most challenging physical and mental activity she had ever done. After developing a deeper yoga practice, she learned that growth does not come from forcing her mind/body into things it was not ready for, but with patience and breath. Her goal as a teacher is make yoga fun and accessible to everyone without worry or judgement. When she is not on the mat, her other happy places are hanging at home with her hubs and 3 kiddos, anything around the water (but not IN the water!), blue sky, music, and travelling – okay, so the latter is (gratefully) limited for now because of said 3 kids, but still a passion!! Trish gets your flow on and heart rate up in Fitness yoga, the kids moving and smiling in Kids Yoga and is also trained in Power yoga.
This is an all-level vinyasa practice where poses are explored beyond the basics and at a faster pace. This class is appropriate for ambitious beginners and long time practitioners.
