Amy F. Foster

Amy Foster has been teaching yoga since 2012. She is ERYT 200, which means she has taught over 1,000 hours. Her certifications continue into RPYT as the highest certified prenatal yoga teacher. Her love for family has led her to be a Doula. CAPPA trained (meaning internationally recognized) she is both knowledgeable and expertly trained to help women give birth.

She is an inspirational and motivational teacher who gives you newfound confidence. Her classes remind your body of its ability to heal, strengthen, and evolve both on and off the mat. She creates a welcoming and supportive space for students to play, learn, and have fun breaking down barriers on and off the mat. She can teach a variety of classes that has room for all levels of practice including:

Aerial Yoga

Everyone will be challenged in a safe and nurturing environment. By way of intelligent sequencing combined with her deep understanding and knowledge of anatomy and physiology, Amy’s classes are designed to help you breathe, move and stretch more skillfully.

Prenatal students in her class will feel a sense of community in the room and will leave with a renewed sense of being. Her goal in teaching prenatal is to get you to move at your own pace, and help you understand what to expect in your pregnancy. Her training as a Doula has given her the unique position to help expecting mothers properly prepare for their birth through both yoga and community.

Traci Hoffman

Traci has been a student of yoga for the past 20 years. "Yoga has helped me survive and thrive during some of the hardest moments of my life. Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion, is my spiritual path. I love to lose myself in weaving movement and prayer together. I have been teaching yoga and meditation for the past year and a half. I teach Yin, Hatha, Vinyasa and Nidra Meditation. I instruct from the yoga lite to the intensives. Tailored to your needs."
 

Traci received her RYT300 from Awakened Yoga Studio in Sugar Land Texas. She has also completed Yin Yoga training at Yoga One in Houston Texas. She is currently in training with Janet Stone and continuing education with Katalin Axmann from Kat's Yoga Lab in Yoga Therapy.

Melanie Comegys

Melanie Comegys is an experienced yoga teacher, 500 E-RYT. She has a Level II Reiki Certification in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition and has been working in adult education since 1993 as a Head Trainer Corporate Trainer, teaching others how to be leaders.
After a 17-year career in Orthopedic Surgery as a leader in academics and education, Melanie is currently teaching and training others yoga in Houston. She has used her corporate training skills in designing and creating curriculums and training materials for yoga trainings. Through an intelligent and structured approach, she brings adult education in yoga to a new level of training.
Practicing yoga since 1999, she continues her yoga education. She completed five years of intensive yoga studies and has received two certifications in yoga. She continues teaching regular yoga classes along with yoga teacher training and workshops.
Melanie’s teaching is mostly focused on alignment-based yoga. She continually approaches the form-based physicality of the postures in yoga and loves the structure that it brings. Melanie’s classes are inclusive, as she helps everyone in understanding the poses. She gives detailed cues in how to move deeper into the poses, and she helps all students create a foundation that they can build upon. To learn more www.texsunyoga.com
this class begins with several restorative postures that relax and prepare the body to receive Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is referred to as "Divine Sleep" or "yogic sleep".  Following a guided Nidra meditation, your body and mind will enter into a sleep like state of relaxation.  Take stress relief and relaxation to the next level.  This class is suitable for all levels and abilities.
