At Awakened Yoga Studio, we have over 50 classes a week ranging from the athletic to the gentle to suit all levels of yogis.  Come sweat it out in Hot Power or Flow Classes, Forrest Yoga, or Power Hatha or choose something less vigorous like Yin or Restore and Renew.  See you on your mat!

This class will focus on building core and complete body strength as well as prepare you for more advanced tricks. Props will be used with the silks. Please bring a mat for the class.  Please wear a shirt with sleeves. Men please wear compression shorts.
Take the gravity out of your practice and learn to fly using an aerial hammock to support your practice.  Aerial yoga builds total body strength, deepens stretches and helps to decompress joints.  Classes are all levels.  Please bring your mat as the first part of the class is on the mat.  Please arrive 15 minutes before class to make sure you get your silk properly set up.  No jewelry and please wear sleeves and leggings.  Cancellations must be made no later than 24 hours before the class or no refunds or transfers will be given.  No refunds/transfers for no shows.
This is an all-level vinyasa practice where poses are explored beyond the basics and at a faster pace. This class is appropriate for ambitious beginners and long time practitioners.

A vinyasa practice taught at a slower pace, with more explanation on correct alignment and modifi- cations. Basic postures are explored including standing poses, standing balancing poses, core work and back- bends. This class is appropriate for absolute beginners or experienced students wanting to take it down a notch.
This class uses intense pose sequences to develop skills in awakening each of the senses. It teaches you to bring aliveness, using breath, into every cell of your body, igniting your passion for life. You will sweat, gain strength, release tension, and breathe much easier. You can expect deep pranayama, intense standing poses, backbends, core strengthening work and deep stretching. Appropriate for all levels, including ambitious beginners. Class is heated to 85-90 degrees.

This is a vigorous vinyasa practice that is kicked up a notch in intensity and pace. Be prepared to sweat and be challenged. Appropriate for experienced/ambitious beginners and up.
This is a heated yoga class that is composed of breathing exercises and a series of postures that will challenge and increase your flexibility and strength. Systematic poses are held for several breaths each allowing you to deepen your stretches and build strength. This class includes a standing series followed by a floor series to work the entire body. Suitable for all levels.
Inferno Hot Pilates is a training system which combines Pilates principles with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and it is performed in a heated room with motivating jams! IHP is high intensity but LOW impact. If you want to burn through fat RAPIDLY, develop long lean muscle mass, create a strong core and have a blast IHP is for you. Bring a mat, towel and water.

Yoga for kids uses interactive games, stories, and other play-like activities to stimulate the imagination, get their bodies moving and having a great time!Through yoga, kids move to improve flexibility, balance, and strength. Kids will learn relaxation and breathing techniques to help them calm the mind, learn concentration and focus, and develop inner confidence! Open to children ages 5 to 12.

This is a specialized aerial yoga class focusing on restoration. This class will soothe the nervous system, restore energy, and deepen the breath. Open to all levels. Please bring a mat. Wear sleeves and yoga pants (men should wear compression shorts if possible) and no jewelry.
 
This class holds a maximum of 2 clients.  Please make reservations 24 hours in advance.  Cancellations must be made within 24 hours in order to receive a refund or credit.
this class begins with several restorative postures that relax and prepare the body to receive Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is referred to as "Divine Sleep" or "yogic sleep".  Following a guided Nidra meditation, your body and mind will enter into a sleep like state of relaxation.  Take stress relief and relaxation to the next level.  This class is suitable for all levels and abilities.
This is a passive practice geared toward stress relief and relaxation. The yoga poses are well supported with props and held for several minutes leaving you well rested. Poses are healing and therapeutic for all levels.
A slower paced flow class to help you focus your practice on core strength, muscle flexibility, breath techniques, and meditation. Slow down and take it all in. Appropriate for students at all levels.

Get your Thanksgiving holiday started off with yoga! Join us for a sweaty, challenging, and fun-filled heated vinyasa flow class! Come ready to get your burn on before the bird!!!
Get in a little "zen" before the chaos of the holiday shopping commences for Black Friday & beyond.  Yin, also called “Acupuncture without needles”,  is a therapeutic practice targeted at releasing connective tissue and joint spaces by settling into poses with long holds (3-5 minutes). This class will mostly be on the floor working hips, low back and thighs with an emphasis on the body breath connection to cultivate a meditative state. While slow, this class is not gentle.
 
This is a non-flow yoga class. Using the basic postures,  this class moves at a slower pace with more emphasis on pranayama (breathing exercises) and alignment. Suitable for beginners to advanced yogis.

Join us for a sweat-filled, heart warming, and towel drenching class. Taught by Grace, this class will help you regain your energy for any shopping you plan to do this weekend! 
Designed specifically for your maturing teen to develop a better understanding and awareness of their body, breath, and state of mind. A typical class will include meditation/breathing, Asanas, and mindfulness discussion and techniques.
VinYin begins with a slow-paced vinyasa warm-up to prepare the body for the stretches to come. The yin yoga that follows is designed to release muscular tension and develop flexibility through the joints. The practice focuses on using the breath to calm the body and mind. This class is suitable for all levels, but caution is advised for pregnant or post-natal mothers.

Yin is a floor-based class that focuses on using the breath-body connection to cultivate a tranquil and meditative state. By settling into passive poses with long holds (usually between two and five minutes) the practice serves to release muscular tension and develop flexibility through the joints. Yin yoga is not ideal for pregnant or post-natal mothers.

Yoga for Muscle Recovery is an unheated class that is open to all levels. Emphasis is placed on aligning breath with movement to generate warmth, improve circulation, and deliver nutrients to muscles and connective tissues. The vinyasa-style sequencing is designed to reinforce healthy patterns of motion and to address muscle imbalances with unilateral exercises. Forms of self-massage such as foam-rolling are employed to increase blood flow and facilitate soft-tissue repair. The class concludes with floor-based stretching to improve flexibility, increase range of motion, and create a sense of relaxation.
